What if I move to another state?
If you move to a different state, you must tell the Department of Human Services: 800-755-2604.
Does my plan cover my family members?
No. Your plan covers care for you only.
What about prescriptions?
Prescriptions are not covered by your plan. Your prescriptions are covered through the North Dakota Department of Medical Services.
I got a statement from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota in the mail. Do I have to pay?
No. After getting treatment, you will get a letter called an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). This is not a bill. It explains how your treatment was covered. If you need help, call the number listed on the letter.
I need help with my plan. Who can I call?

Do I need approval from BCBSND for services or procedures?
If you need a service or procedure, it may require approval (also known as precertification). Please speak with your provider.
Will I be able to continue current treatments or medications that are already approved?
Yes, if they are already in place. Please work with your provider and BCBSND if you have questions.
What can I expect from BCBSND care management?
You will have access to BCBSND’s online wellness center. Case managers will help you with:

What is BCBSND Medicaid Expansion ID card?
Your medical ID card will have your name and other important information on it. Keep your card in a safe place. Carry your ID card in your purse or wallet.
